Oppo A15 Review
While it does hold a significant marketing value, shoving a lot of lenses does not automatically make a better camera system. The OPPO A15 has a triple-camera setup and the company has emblazoned ‘AI’ very prominently alongside it. There is a 13MP primary sensor which is supported by the usual macro and depth sensors. While the macro sensor is handy for getting close to a subject, an ultra-wide sensor is more practical and serves a greater use case. Both the macro and depth sensors are extras that work just about as well as you would expect, which is to say average.
- Good design
- Decent shots in daylight cameras
- Fast fingerprint sensor
- Average performance
- HD+ resolution sceen
- Poot nighttime shots
- Still uses a micro-USB port
At the end of a hugely productive 2020, Oppo released an ultra-affordable smartphone in the Oppo A15. It’s a solid effort with a large display and dependable battery life, but countless compromises – including poor performance, a low-res display, and a sub-par camera – dampen the sense that you’re getting a bargain.
- Very cheap
- Reliable fingerprint sensor
- Solid battery life
- Poor performance
- Display only HD+
- Micro USB
The Oppo A15 is a cheap phone but it’s built quite well but does come with the annoying micro-USB port. However, it does offer a fingerprint sensor that is becoming more of the norm on phones like this and is surprisingly reliable.
